Honestly โ€“ that's it. My libraries like Gensim are and always will remain free and open source. But your contribution helps me maintain these packages, handle support, review new PRs.

What happens with the donation?

Working on Gensim has been good fun โ€“ a hobby project that reached Downloads, 5000 academic citations and over 10,000 support forum posts.

But now that I have a small baby ๐Ÿ‘ถ (update 2021: two small babies!), the project needs a more sustainable path for the future.
